1.5. Construction

Unless the context herein is inconsistent with such construction:

1.  headings herein are used for convenience only and shall not affect the construction or interpretation of this document

2.  words importing the singular number shall include the plural number and vice versa;

3.  words importing the masculine gender only shall include the feminine gender;

4.  words importing persons only shall include companies or associations or bodies of persons, whether corporate or not;

5.  the word "may" shall be construed as permissive and the word "shall" shall be construed as imperative;

6.  words following the terms including, include, in particular, for example or any similar expression shall be construed as illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the words, description, definition, phrase or term preceding those terms.

7.  other and otherwise are illustrative and shall not limit the sense of the words preceding them.
